Schedule of Classes

Living Spirit Yoga classes keep the rich and ancient tradition of yoga alive, fresh and dynamic. We offer creative sequencing of poses, precise instruction on alignment, attention to the breath and body awareness, and a sense of adventure. Mats and yoga props are available at the studio.

Monday: 10:00 – 11:30 am Moderate Yoga

Receive the amazing gifts of yoga without the strenuous activity. Learn modified postures, breathing techniques and be guided into deep relaxation. Students of all levels can enjoy this class.

New! Monday: 5:30 – 7:00 pm Hatha Flow (Level I)

The next step up from the Beginners Series, with more variety of poses and slightly more challenging. Emphasis is placed on proper alignment, breathing, building core strength and releasing old tensions and patterns in the body/mind.

Tuesday: 5:30 – 7:00 pm Hatha Flow (Level II/III)

A dynamic Hatha Flow class that regularly includes inversions, balance poses and deeper backbends. The hallmarks of Nathan's Hatha Flow classes are his creative sequencing that makes anatomical sense, a wide variety of poses, clear instruction on alignment, and a sensible balanced approach to the practice.

Wednesday: 5:30 -7:00 pm Beginners Series (8 weeks)

This 8-week introductory series is a great place to start. Stretch, strengthen and come back home to your body as you learn basic yoga postures, meditation techniques, breathing exercises and experience deep relaxation. This series can be taken on an on-going basis or as a preparation for the Hatha Flow classes. Next Eight week series starts March 12.

Thursday: 5:30 - 7:00pm Hatha Flow (All Levels)

A moderately paced, continuous flow of postures designed for all levels of students. The hallmarks of Nathan's Hatha Flow classes are his creative sequencing that makes anatomical sense, a wide variety of poses, clear instruction on alignment, and a sensible balanced approach to the practice.

 

New! Wednesday: 7:15 - 8:45 pm The Deeper Practices (8 weeks)

Experience profound peace and healing through some of the more refined practices of yoga not often taught in the US. Each class will be a combination of asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), kryias (cleansing practices), guided meditation, and yoga nidra (conscious sleep). Starts April 16

Where to start? If you are completely new to yoga, the best place to start is the Beginners Series on Wednesday nights. If you have some prior experience with yoga, we suggest you start with a "Level I", "Moderate" or "All Levels" Hatha Flow classes. Any further questions?
